So, now that I'm officially a "supermom," I've got all the time in the world to tell you all about my son. Thursday, May 17, 2007Wow, time has flown!I still can't get over how fast this going by. Colton is already 20 months old now, and he's quite a little boy now. He is a very outspoken & determined little guy, who loves playing with trucks/cars/tractors, rocks & bubbles. He is still a stubborn little guy when it comes to sleeping, but at least we know where he got it from. :)Cousin Matthew has officially joined the family today. Colton and I can't wait to meet him. Papa Marty is on his way to join the MedBound 2007 Atlantic Rally. Labels: 20 months, Colton, Marty, Matthew, MedBound 2007 Monday, October 23, 2006The Big ONE!We had a wonderful birthday party with close friends and family, and since Colton was such a good boy this past year, Steven and I decided to get Colton a house for his birthday. :) We took ownership of the house the day before his birthday party, so we were unable to throw the party at our new home, but we had a fantastic celebration at Colton's cousin's house.Colton is not yet walking, but is standing pretty well on his own. He's a very verbal little guy, and one of his favorite sayings nowadays is "Uh Oh!" ADORABLE! Monday, August 07, 2006Friday, July 21, 2006Mover and ShakerColton's grown up so much in the last couple months. He went from sitting up on his own (right before his ITP episode) to crawling in about 3 weeks. Now, he loves being chased (that's one of our favorite games to play) and gets into trouble in mere moments. His ITP is doing VERY well, it doesn't seem to have come back, which means that he probably won't have it again (we're crossing our fingers).I will get some new photos up in the next couple weeks. Steven, Colton & I had some photos taken of the "fam" yesterday (www.soulsticeimagery.com), so I'm anxiously waiting for the photos to show all of you. In the meantime, thanks for all your thoughts & prayers for our little family. Without the support of our much loved friends, family and our Heavenly Father, we wouldn't have made it. Friday, May 05, 2006Visiting Children's, again...Last Monday, we noticed a bunch of bruising on his head, arms and legs, and a few short hours later, we noticed that the bruising and little red dots were getting worse and worse. After testing his platlet count, we took our precious Baby Colton to Children's Hospital. There, he was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). Fortunately, Colton's already recovering quite quickly, and we don't need to treat him like a bubble boy. Thanks to everyone who kept him in your prayers. And thanks to the great staff at Children's Hospital. Monday, March 27, 20066 months oldWow, time has flown by! Baby Colton is growing up really fast. About 3 weeks ago, his first tooth started coming in. He's now eating food now. The only foods he's had so far are rice cereal (yum!), potatos, and bananas. So far, I think bananas are his favorite. He can sit up pretty well by himself now, and loves to stand (with a bit of help for balance). He's a little flirt who breaks the hearts of women everywhere he goes. He still is bald as can be and has his adorably chubby cheeks. I would have to say that his favorite toy is his exersaucer. He's definitely a thumb sucker...he won't take a pacifier unless he's desperate. And finally, he loves blankets. He and his older cousin Caleb are best of buds. They see each other almost every day, and they've worked out an agreement to take turns crying. Hopefully, it won't take another 6 months to update my blog. :) Monday, February 27, 2006 |
