Bringing up Colton

So, now that I'm officially a "supermom," I've got all the time in the world to tell you all about my son.

Half Baked

So, this is the week where the "bun in the oven" is officially half baked. For those of you who have forgotten, that means that I am now 20 weeks pregnant. Baby Bishop and I have been on a growth spurt recently, gaining a total of 10 pounds so far. I'm feeling him kick occasionally, and my growing stomach now makes it impossible to wear non-maternity pants.

Dad has begun work on the nursery, and it's already beginning to look a lot less like a guest room and more like a baby's room. :) Since we're living in an apartment, we don't plan on painting the nursery. Instead, we're using Dad's talent for making a room feel "homey" to make this special place for our baby boy. My contribution to the nursery will be a cross-stitch, since I don't know how to sew, quilt, or knit. I'm hoping that this online journal will make up for my ignorance of the crafting arts of classic homemaking.

Steven and I have decided on nautical and aeronautical themes in the room with a color scheme of red, navy, yellow, and sky blue. Since both grandpas’ are captains, we thought that a boat theme (with a few airplane accents in the mix) would suit Baby Bishop's heritage quite nicely.
