Bringing up Colton

So, now that I'm officially a "supermom," I've got all the time in the world to tell you all about my son.

Recent adventures of Baby Bishop

Oh my goodness! Dana & I scouted out baby gear at several stores, and after 3 hours of debating travel systems, cribs, and diaper bags, we gave up. I've never seen so many baby "thingies" under one roof! I don't know what I would've done without Aunt Dana and Cousin Caleb's help. Who knew that you'd need so much "stuff" to take care of a little munchkin? After all, right now, all Steven and I have to do to take the family for an outing is pack along an extra snack for mom. :)

On that note, our little family has been quite busy during the past couple weeks. After my yellow gear hunt, Steven, Baby Bishop and I left for San Jose for a long weekend and to attend Taryn and Jason's wedding in Monterey. Our trip was a blast, but I got really, really tired from all the walking and intense sunshine. I must say, though, that I really enjoyed being outside of my cubicle and spending some quality time with my little family.

Last weekend, Steven's dear friend and fellow Marine, Jones, married Aunt Kim in a lovely, intimate ceremony. Baby Bishop was honored to be the only boy to be present at the bouquet ceremony (he didn't contribute a flower to the bride's bouquet because that was only for the girls), and he really enjoyed Uncle Jerry's barbecue.

My stomach's aching quite a bit from all the tendons stretching out to make room for Baby Bishop, and I'm beginning to grow a bit faster now. Every once in a while, I feel a swift jab, and I wonder, what happened to all those butterflies I was supposed to feel? I didn't think that these swift karate kicks were supposed to be so intense at this point. Well, he's definitely Steven's son. :)
