So, now that I'm officially a "supermom," I've got all the time in the world to tell you all about my son. Wednesday, June 29, 2005Week 22 1/2So, I went to the dr's office a couple days ago, and I got the results from my most recent HbA1c, aka glycosylated hemoglobin. It's a rather routine test done on diabetics to see their average glucose in the past 120 days. For the first time since my diagnosis 18 years ago, I got my HbA1c down below 6.0. In fact, my result was 5.8! That made me sooooo happy to see that, especially since that's a very important number for Baby Bishop so that he stays happy and healthy until he makes his grand entrance to the world. In other news, Grandpa Marty, Uncle Mike, Aunt Dana, and Cousin Caleb are all leaving for a 2 week vacation to Finland. They'll be attending a family reunion in our family's village up north of the Arctic Circle in Lappland. I can't wait to see the pictures and hear all the stories from their trip. During the summertime, Finland is a beautiful place, I really enjoyed myself when I went there 3 years ago. Oh, and I should mention that Steven got the coveted award for being the World's Greatest Dad-to-be, and in recognition of this accomplishment, Baby Bishop and I gave him the one and only World's Greatest Dad-to-be t-shirt. :) |
