Bringing up Colton

So, now that I'm officially a "supermom," I've got all the time in the world to tell you all about my son.

This is just a cute little snapshot, I think.

Which way did he go?

Yup, he's a genius in the making. :)

Hello! I'm Colton. Who are you?

Yeah! I love my mommy!

Ohhh, what a Kodak moment!

You talking to me?

Yawn! I'm sleepy!

Peek a boo!

oops! baby's crosseyed!

Waiting for daddy to come home.

Shhhh, baby's sleeping!

Deep in thought...

Our little porker. :) Not his best photo, but I still think he's adorable.

Eskimo Kiss!!!

Mamma's little snuggle-bug.

WAAAAAH!

The day after his surgery, we got to take Colton home. YEAH!!!!

Like I said, peaceful. :)

Our little Peanut was so peaceful after surgery. Mom & dad were so thankful and relieved that he was going to be OK.

Steven and I brought back Colton from the surgical unit after many hours of praying and waiting.

At only 19 days old, Colton was admitted to Children's hospital with an incarcerated hernia. Here is a picture of daddy sleeping with our little Peanut the morning after surgery.

All that hard work didn't amount to much; I had to have a cesarean section because Colton was breeched. The moment Colton was born was breathtaking. I had tears of joy when he was born, when didn't stop until I cuddled with him for the first time.

There was lots & lots of this, until about 5:30am...Unfortunately, there was a bit of a misunderstanding, the nurses thought I wanted to experience "natural" childbirth. (AHHH!) But once I got the epidural, labor seemed to be a piece of cake!

Here's a photo of me getting a short break between contractions. I was sooooo thankful for Steven's support, despite that outburst.

Here's a great glimpse into how Steven helped me get through my contractions. Quote of the night..."Don't breathe my oxygen!"
